“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:21
Thank you for your faith and generosity in giving to God. We’re so grateful that you’re using Denver United’s online giving option to join us in our mission of furthering Jesus’ kingdom in the lives of people in Denver and around the world. As so many come to a life-giving relationship with Christ, please know that it couldn’t happen without your generosity.
The vision of Denver United Church is made possible by the faithful, sacrificial giving of our members. Financial giving can be divided into two categories: tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches us that the tithe–bringing 10 percent of our income to the Lord as a “first fruits” expression of our worship (Exodus 23:19)–is central to a life surrendered to God. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering (2 Corinthians 9:6-7). Both of these types of giving help us grow as Jesus’ followers and reflect authentic worship. As Jesus put it, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
In turn, we aim to be a responsible, transparent storehouse (Malachi 3:10) for the stewardship of Jesus’ resources. If you’d like to know more about Denver United’s financial management, email Pastor Rob. The message below communicates our heart and develops our ideas on financial stewardship.
