Hope Building

Pastor Jared did a wonderful job Sunday leading us in the first week of advent on Hope. He posed this question: where does Jesus desire for me to receive his hope? I want to ponder the journey of hope building in our lives, as I know the Spirit is, or will, lead most of us down this road.    In the last few years, the Father has been reshaping and repositioning my understanding and placement of Hope. Hushed Expectancy

Hushed Expectancy: Learning to Trust the Sovereignty of God Habakkuk 1:12 - 2:20 "Lord, are you not from everlasting?     My God, my Holy One, you will never die. You, Lord, have appointed them to execute judgment;     you, my Rock, have ordained them to punish.  Your eyes are too pure to look on evil;     you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?     Why are you silent while the wicked     swallow up those more righteous than themselves?...." Personal​ ​Thought I hate movies that leave the story unresolved, especially when the outcome is unsatisfactory or unpleasing. The tension, stress and frustration of unresolved-ness eats me alive. In this week's reading we find the prophet in a unresolved place. He gets an answer from the Lord, but in no way does this resolve the issue or tension at hand, in fact it would appear to make it worse.
